The Road to Success

For people who haven't achieved success, the road to success is often a mystery.
Those of us who are still struggling to be successful look at those who seem to achieve success easily, and we wonder what their secret is. Why do some people seem to easily have motivation when it's so hard for us? Why does it seem that everything turns out well for them while we are locked onto a course of drudgery and struggle?
Is success only for those who come from the right families, or those who live in the right part of town and who know the right people and go to the right schools?
It is true that in some cases, these kinds of advantages can help some people become successful. But there are no guarantees.
Sometimes the people who come from very successful families have a hard time living up to family expecations. They get lost, they drift, they lose focus. Eventually, the benefits of coming from a highly successful family don't seem to rub off on the next generation.
There are also many instances of people who have learned the secrets of being successful even though they had no such advantages. They came from what we would call poor, underpriviledged backgrounds. Somehow, they figured out the secrets of success.
What are some of these success secrets?
People who end up being successful are good at visualizing a goal. They know how to stay focused on goals, and they are able to overcome procrastination. They know how to stay motivated as they keep working towards their goals.
